Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court contexts. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received numerous awards and grants. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She holds memberships in many professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
